Following my previous blog post on what do you our bodybuilders look like before the 2013 Olympia, here’s an update from the 2013 NPC/IFBB Pittsburgh Championship held on May 4 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 2013 Mr. O, to be held in september 26-29 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, looks very promising this year. Will Phil Heath lose his title to Kai Greene? Can’t know for sure but I’d put 20 bucks on Kai. By the way the lighting wasn’t that good for the guest posing event, but whatevs
Jay Cutler on May 4, at Pittsburgh NPC/IFBB
Jay Cutler, ”the refrigerator”. Like I said the lighting is pretty bad and you can’t see much definition in his muscles, but I’m sure it is there.
Mr. Cutler hasn’t lost any chest width. At all.
Maybe lacking in the back department, like usual.
Branch Warren a few months before the 2013 Olympia
Impressive Chest size right there, Branch.
Would be curious to see what that looks like in good lighting.
Kai Greene a couple months before the ’13 Mr. O
Kai Greene was in very good shape at this event. I like it that Kai looks like that even off-season and I hope more bodybuilders do that.
Lighting looks better now, as we can count the number of muscle fibers in Mr. Greene’s lats
I seriously think Kai has a good chance to win this year. He might not have the chest, shoulder and arm thickness and roundness that Phillip Heath has, but his legs, back and delt are just way better. He looks in better shape overall.
Phil Heath in Pittsburgh 2013
Couldn’t find a good picture with Phil alone for you guys ;-(
That’s a lot of skin in display right there.
Phillip on stage with an amateur from the crowd. Just shows you how big and muscular these guys are.
I’m a little surprised by Branch Warren and Kai Greene here. Branch looks much bigger than he was a couple months ago when I posted some of his guest posing pictures. Kai on the other hand looks better than ever and seems to be on his way to win the ’13 Olympia. I’m not really into the dancing moves on stage and everything but I really hope his hard work pays off and he takes the title. Phil Heath looks good as well, but he doesn’t look like to have improved that much. Like they say it’s hard to improve when you are number one.
Here’s a couple nice vids you can check out from this event, covered by npcnewsonline.
